On July 24th, Oni Press will unleash Epitaphs from the Abyss #1, a 40-page debut featuring tales of terror crafted by an all-star lineup of writers and artists.

With Epitaphs from the Abyss, EC Comics makes its bold comeback after nearly 70 years, partnering with William M. Gaines Agent, Inc. for this groundbreaking series. The debut issue promises a relentless onslaught of horror, courtesy of acclaimed creators Brian Azzarello, Chris Condon, J. Holtham, Stephanie Phillips, Jorge Fornes, Phil Hester, Peter Krause, and Vlad Legostaev.

Reflecting on the significance of EC Comics, multiple Eisner Award winner Brian Azzarello shared, “Thank God — or my grandmother, who didn’t throw out my father’s comics — that I was able to discover EC in an attic I was forbidden to go in.”

Epitaphs from the Abyss #1 features self-contained tales of terror, each realized with chilling precision by a team of visionary artists. From the twisted minds of writers like Chris Condon and Stephanie Phillips, expect stories pushing horror storytelling’s boundaries.
