Nizar Tawfiq Qabbani was a Syrian diplomat, poet, writer and publisher. He is considered to be Syria’s National Poet. His poetic style combines simplicity and elegance in exploring themes of love, eroticism, feminism, religion, and Arab empowerment against foreign imperialism and local dictators.

This piece was part of the exhibition in tribute to the Syrian poet Nizar Qabbani at The 17th International cartoon contest and exhibition, Syria 2021. Held at the Dar Al-Assad The Damascus Opera House for Culture and Arts, in Syria.
