Feminicides in Mexico

Femicide is one of the extreme forms of gender violence that is made up of the set of misogynist violent acts against women that involve the violation of their human rights, threaten their safety and endanger their lives. The roots of violence against women lie in persistent discrimination against women. Femicide is consumed because the authorities, negligent or colluded with aggressors, exercise institutional violence against women by obstructing their access to justice and thereby contribute to impunity.
