How to Draw a Baby Monkey
Babies are cute, adorable, fun, and even sometimes very stinky. Since I have been on a baby kick this week I wanted to do a lesson on a baby animal. I had a hard time trying to decide what type of animal I wanted to use for a baby. So I thought about it and came to a conclusion, what better animal to do a tutorial on would be a monkey. That is what I am going to do right now. I will teach you how to draw a baby monkey step by step. All baby animals are wicked awesome and I think that children and adults will always have some kind of soft spot for these young mammals. Baby monkeys are probably one of the easiest things to learn how to draw because they are essentially all round shapes. There is a variety of baby animals that you can learn how to draw including a baby moose, baby birds, mice, and many other animals you can think of. Drawing baby monkeys is a fun way to be a little creative. You dress up the baby monkey with a hat or maybe even a rattle.
As for me, I drew in a banana that is being cradled by the animated animal that has a lot of charm and even a twinkle or two in his big brown eyes. I think you guys will have fun with this lesson on how to draw a baby monkey step by step. As you can tell by the finished drawing, you will have no problem learning how to draw baby animals. I will return yet again so stay tuned and keep that pencil in your hand.
Step 1
What I want you to do first is draw a big circle for the monkey’s head and then add the facial guidelines. You will then draw out the outlining of the body frame including the tail as you see here.
Step 2
In this next step, you will draw the fuzzy baby hair on his head and then his big ears. Next, draw the shapely lines of his arms and cheeks. See how easy this lesson is so far?
Step 3
You will remain drawing out the lower part of the baby monkey. What I want you to do first is draw the shape of the arms and add the hairline to separate the skin from the hair on his wrist. Next, draw out the crossed legs and feet and then thicken out the short monkey tail.
Step 4
This is your last drawing step and what I want you to do first is finish drawing the feet and then the hands. Next, draw the big shape of the eyes as well as coloring them in. You will also draw out the smile line and tongue, then the eyebrows, nose, and cheeks. Add detail to the eras and then erase the guidelines and shapes.
Step 5
Your finished monkey should look like this when you are done. All you have to do now is color him in. I hope you had fun learning how to draw a baby monkey step by step.
