This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Toons Mag’s sites, services, web platform, products, and content (“Services”). We are Toons Mag, an online cartoon magazine and a global publishing platform for the artists. Toons Mag owns by Arifur Rahman ENK Norway (A Solo proprietorship company based on Norway) and operates (“Toons Mag”) ToonsMag.com, ToonMag.com, ToonsMag.net, ToonsMag.org, CartoonistsShop.com, and CartoonistClub.com. It is Toons Mag’s policy to respect your privacy regarding any information we may collect while operating our websites.

Information Disclosure
Toons Mag won’t transfer information about you to third parties for the purpose of providing or facilitating third-party advertising to you. We won’t sell information about you to a third-party.
We may transfer your account information with third parties in some circumstances, including: (1) with your consent; (2) to a service provider or partner who meets our data protection standards; (3) with academic or non-profit researchers, with aggregation, anonymization, or pseudonymization; (4) when we have a good faith belief it is required by law, such as pursuant to a subpoena or other legal process; (5) when we have a good faith belief that doing so will help prevent imminent harm to someone.
If we are going to share your information in response to legal process, we’ll give you notice so you can challenge it (for example by seeking court intervention), unless we’re prohibited by law or believe doing so may endanger others or cause illegal conduct. Public Data
Search engines may index your Toons Mag member profile page, public interactions (such as Reactions, Badges, Up/Downvotes or Points), and post pages, such that people may find these pages when searching against your name on services like Google, DuckDuckGo, or Bing. Users may also share links to your content on social media platforms such as Facebook or Twitter.
Data Storage
Toons Mag uses third-party vendors and hosting partners, such as Amazon, for hardware, software, networking, storage, and related technology we need to run Toons Mag. We maintain two types of logs: server logs and event logs. By using the Services, you authorize Toons Mag to transfer, store, and use your information in the United States, Norway and any other country where we operate.
Data Security
We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t guarantee security. You use the Service at your own risk, and you’re responsible for taking reasonable measures to secure your account.
What personal data we collect and why we collect it
Profile Data
When you register for the site, you may be asked to provide certain personal data for display on your profile. The “Name” field is required as well as public, and user profiles are visible to any site visitor. Other profile information may be required or optional, as configured by the site administrator.
User information provided during account registration can be modified or removed on the Profile > Edit panel. In most cases, users also have control over who is able to view a particular piece of profile content, limiting visibility on a field-by-field basis to friends, logged-in users, or administrators only. Site administrators can read and edit all profile data for all users.
Cookies
We use a cookie to show success and failure messages to logged-in users, in response to certain actions, like joining a group. These cookies contain no personal data and are deleted immediately after the next page load.
We use cookies on a group, member, and activity directories to keep track of a user’s browsing preferences. These preferences include the last-selected values of the sort and filter dropdowns, as well as pagination information. These cookies contain no personal data and are deleted after 24 hours.
Comments
When visitors leave comments on the Toons Mag we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.
Media
If you upload images to the Toons Mag, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the Toons Mag.
Embedded content from other websites
Articles on Toons Mag may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.
These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.
Contact forms

Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics, and Facebook pixel for page views statistics and improve the site.
Toons Mag does not share any personal data with anyone.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on Toons Mag or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information
Certain visitors to Toons Mag’s websites choose to interact with Toons Mag in ways that require Toons Mag to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that Toons Mag gathers depend on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who sign up at toonsmag.com to provide a username and email address. Business Transfers
If Toons Mag, or substantially all of its assets, were acquired, or in the unlikely event that Toons Mag goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, user information would be one of the assets that are transferred or acquired by a third party. Ads appearing on any of our websites may be delivered to users by advertising partners, who may set cookies.
